Governor felicitates Principal and teachers of B.Borooah College
Guwahati,Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria felicitated the Principal and teachers of B Borooah College for having achieved Grade A++ in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) assessment at a function held in the conference hall of Raj Bhavan. The Governor while congratulating the Principal and entire fraternity said, “It is a matter of satisfaction that B Borooah College has been granted with Grade A++ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is a reflection of the dedication of the larger fraternity, especially the Faculty Members of B Borooah College.” The Governor also said that he was happy to learn that the achievement is the first in the entire North Eastern Region and it was a testimony to the unwavering commitment of the teachers and other stakeholders in the field of teaching and research. He also said that this achievement will instill a new spirit into the Academic and Research environment of the Institution.It may be noted that B Borooah College, Guwahati has been awarded the A++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.62. Advisor, Education Govt. of Assam Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta, Advisor Chancellor’s Secretariat Prof. Mihir K. Chaudhuri, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor S. S. Meenakshi Sundaram, Director, Higher Education Pomy Baruah, teachers from B. Borooah College along with a host of other dignitaries were present at the meeting.
