Chief Minister calls on Governor
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today met Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Lok Bhavan today and talked on a gamut of issues pertaining to the development of the state.
The Chief Minister briefed the Governor on the various initiatives being undertaken by the State Government to expedite development more particularly strengthening higher education, promoting research and innovation and skill development.
The Governor appreciated the efforts being made by the State Government to enhance the quality of higher education and develop the State’s academic institutions as reputed centres of learning. The discussions also focused on measures aimed at fostering a robust investment and industrial ecosystem capable of meeting the demands of Industry 4.0.
The Chief Minister and the Governor further exchanged views on matters relating to public welfare and various developmental initiatives being pursued for the inclusive growth and prosperity of Assam.
