Byatikram MASDO successfully celebrated 9th Pre Bihu-Celebration 2023
Guwahati,Rongili Barta- Marking the festival of Bihu-the lifeline of Assamese culture, Byatikram MASDO successfully organized the 9th Pre-Bihu celebrations on the 6th April 2023 at Shri Shri Madhavdeva International Auditorium, Panjabari, Guwahati. The event was attended by many esteemed guests such as Chetana Das, Veteran Actor; Rajiv Sarma, Asst. Director (Documentation & Publicity), Assam State AIDS Control Society ; Manav Surjya Das, Asst. Director, Assam State AIDS Control Society ; Suvendu Banerjee, Singer and Music Composer, Deboleena Sengupta, Poet; Jannat E Ferdousi Lucky, Popular Singer & Writer from Bangladesh; Suman and Venkat Mani, Director of Runo Fresh; Sanjay Chakraborty, Poet; Manik Ahmed, Drama Director; Jaba Chakraborty, Artist and many others. The program started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a chorus performance on the popular song ‘Bristirno Parore’ by Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika performed by the artists of Bohumukhi Prativa Organization such as Sanchita Roy, Rajkumar Das, Taraprasanna Mukherjee, Mintu Rudra, Rajib Kar, Madhuparna Banik Kar and others. A book titled “Gadaiyer Natai” written by Champa Debnath and published by Vicky Publishers was launched on the occasion. Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, President of Byatikram MASDO said “Rongali Bihu is associated with the emotions and love of the people of Assam. The joy of Assamese culture flourishes in the rhythm of Bihu. In fact, we are celebrating the 9th edition of this celebration and every year we have been organizing this festival with different artists”. Thereafter, Actress Chetana Das said,”When spring comes, the whole of Assam goes crazy with the joy of the festival. I am very happy to be part of this Pre-Bihu program organized by the Byatikram. “It’s such a beautiful event where different artists come together. We are only familiar with Bihu”, said Jannat E Fardousi Lucky, who attended the Pre-Bihu function from Bangladesh. I have never seen a Bihu program so closely. I am blessed to be part of this event.” Aneesha Hussain, Co-Partner from Greensteps felicitated the special guests with their Assamese Block Handprint gifts. The event was followed by a few special performances by singer Chandrima Bhattacharya who performed songs in memory of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Jayanta Hazarika, Lata Mangeshkar, SD Burman, Salil Chowdhury and others followed by a few Bihu songs. The artists of Rangdhali Sanskritik Sangstha mesmerized the audience with their enthralling performances followed by the performances of Singer Dr. Jayashree Devi, Lalita Lahkar and other artists of Suradhwani Aikyatan, Bohumukhi Prativa organizations, etc. The program was supported by Assam State Aids Control Society, Govt. of Assam, Runo Fresh, Greensteps the Lifestyle Store, Sai Vikas School and Jettwings.
