Siliguri Chapter of ICSI Hosts Insightful Seminar on Union Budget 2025 & Income Tax Bill 2025
Rongili Barta-The Siliguri Chapter of the Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) successfully organized a half-day seminar titled Sankalp on the Union Budget 2025 and Income Tax Bill 2025 at its premises.
The seminar was inaugurated by CS (Dr.) Pintu Prasad Jaiswal, Chairman of the Siliguri Chapter of EIRC of ICSI, who emphasized the importance of staying updated with contemporary changes in policies and regulations. He highlighted the role of such seminars in fostering knowledge dissemination among professionals and students.
Prof. (Dr.) Ranjan Sarkar, Principal of Siliguri College of Commerce, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, he shared valuable insights into the Union Budget 2025 and the Income Tax Bill 2025, discussing their potential impact on businesses, individuals, and the broader economy.
The seminar featured expert presentations by CA Savita Jindal from Siliguri and CS Nikhil Israni from Kolkata, who dissected various aspects of the budget and tax bill. Their in-depth analysis offered attendees a clearer perspective on the implications of the new provisions for corporate governance and taxation.
Adding to the event’s significance, CS Rupanjana De, Central Council Member of ICSI and Mentor of the Siliguri Chapter, and CS Anuj Saraswat, Chairman of EIRC of ICSI, addressed the gathering through an online session. They underscored the pivotal role of company secretaries in driving the nation’s economic development and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.
The event was meticulously coordinated by CS Pragya Jaiswal and the managing committee members, including CS Nitin Gupta, CS Vikash Mittal, CS Saptasikha Jhampati, and CS Ashleen Kaur were also present. Their efforts ensured the seamless execution of the seminar, which was attended by the members and students.
The seminar concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by CS Amit Goyal, Secretary of the Siliguri Chapter, who expressed gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and participants for making the event a resounding success.
