Governor greets people on Eid-Ul-Fitr
Guwahati, Rongili Barta: Assam Governor Prof.Jagdish Mukhi conveyed his greetings to the people of Assam on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In his message to the people, the Governor said, “I extend my heartiest greetings on this holy occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. It is a ‘festival of breaking fast’ and marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan. May we all be blessed with a renewed spirit of love and oneness for all. I wish the Almighty shower his choicest blessings upon us all on this auspicious day.” The Governor also said that the festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr is also an occasion for happiness and merrymaking which is marked by the spirit of universal brotherhood. “Eid-Ul-Fitr teaches us about self discipline, compassion, charity and love for fellow beings”, as he called upon everybody to celebrate the festival following the tenets of the occasion”.
