Distribution of Certificates and Artificial Insemination Logistics to Maitris
Guwahati, Rongili Barta: Minister of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Nilima Devi was today present as Chief Guest of the certificate and Artificial Insemination (AI) logistics distribution programme held at the Regional Artificial Insemination Training Institute, Khanapara, Guwahati.
During the programme, the Minister distributed certificates to five beneficiaries and Artificial Insemination logistics to Maitris, further strengthening livestock breeding and veterinary services at the grassroots level across the State.
The programme was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Government of Assam Kailash Chandra Samria, and Director of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department Dr. Jayanta Kumar Goswami.
The initiative is aimed at empowering Maitris with the requisite training, certification and equipment to provide efficient Artificial Insemination services to livestock farmers, thereby contributing towards improved livestock breeding, productivity and access to veterinary services across Assam.
The distribution of AI logistics is expected to enhance the capacity of Maitris to deliver doorstep breeding services to livestock farmers, particularly at the grassroots level, and strengthen the State’s efforts towards sustainable development of the livestock sector.
