Byatikram MASDO Extends Congratulations to Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur on his Appointment as Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata
Guwahati,Rongili Barta- Byatikram MASDO and Friends of Bangladesh, Assam Chapter extend their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur on his appointment as the Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata. Dr. Mansur brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously served as Bangladesh’s Assistant High Commissioner in Guwahati, Assam, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing cultural and social exchanges between Bangladesh and Assam. Dr. Mansur succeeds Andalib Elias, who has been appointed as the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Sri Lanka.
Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, President of Byatikram MASDO, highlighted Dr. Mansur’s longstanding commitment to fostering strong India-Bangladesh relations and said, “Dr. Mansur has always been in favour of India-Bangladesh relations. In his tenure as Guwahati’s Assistant High Commissioner, he made a significant contribution to improving social and cultural exchanges and in enhancing communication between Bangladesh and Assam.”
During his tenure in Guwahati, Dr. Mansur facilitated the translation of significant literary works, including ‘Unfinished Autobiography’ and ‘Karagarer Roznamcha’ by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman into Assamese. Additionally, under his leadership, Byatikram MASDO translated the autobiography of Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika, ‘Ami Ek Jajabar,’ into Bengali, thereby enriching cultural ties between the two nations.
The appointment of Dr. Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur is viewed as a continuation of his dedicated diplomatic service and a testament to his ability to strengthen bilateral cooperation and understanding.
