The Center for Islamic Studies (CIS) has announced the Silver Jubilee of the Center at Dibrugarh
M. Hashim Ali,Dibrugarh,Rongili Barta- The Center for Islamic Studies, a literary, cultural and social organization of Dibrugarh, is celebrating the Silver Jubilee of its establishment. Therefore, the members of the organization have arranged a host of programmes including hoisting of the flag of the centre, unveiling the symbol and planting trees at the public hall of Dibrugarh Eidgah at Graham Bazar at 9.00 am on 19th June next. The main function will be held on Sunday, June the 23 rd from 1-30 pm at the same venue. The opening ceremony will be inaugurated by renowned writer, former MP and former President of Asom Sahitya Sabha Dr. Nagen Shaikia who is a close associate of the organization since its inception. The event will be attended by prominent journalist, critic and thinker Hyder Hussain as the chief guest. The ‘Silver Jubilee Special Issue’ of the Centre’s mouthpiece ‘Anubhuti’ will be launched by Dr. Pranay Phukan, a prominent poet and physician. The organization will also honour several octogenerian persons and the members of the organization for their outstanding contributions to the social life of Dibrugarh. Dr. Ahmedullah Khan, President and M. Hashim Ali, Secretary of the Centre have solicited the attendance of people in large scasle.
