Media Award to Kanak Sen Deka From Rastriya Patrakarita Kalyan Nyas, Mumbai
Rongili Barta- Kanak Sen Deka, the senior- most journalist of Assam, and Editor-in-Chief of the Agradoot group of newspapers in Assamese, published from Guwahati, Assam, will receive the Media Award under the Lifetime Achievement Award in Mumbai on 21st August 2022 in the prestigious name of the veteran journalist and freedom-fighter, Bapurao Lele. Two other awards namely Dada Saheb Apte WION News Award for excellence in journalism, and Srikant Joshi Award for Special Achievement in Journalism will be received by Smti Palki Sharma Upadhyay [Managing Editor of WION News] and Prasad Kathe (Chief Editor, Jai Maharashtra). Kanak Sen Deka will be awarded with the honor and a cash of Rs.2, 50,000/- while the other two journalists will be awarded with Rs1,50,000 along with other mementos.
