Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan graces the 58th Foundation Day of the ICSI
Rongili Barta: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India celebrated its 58th Foundation Day on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in the august presence of Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan.
Dr. Sonal Mansingh, Hon’ble Former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha (Padma Vibhushan Awardee), graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour
Appreciating the ICSI, the Hon’ble Vice President of India said, “As a global benchmark for sustainable development, the ICSI ensures that Company Secretaries foster robust corporate transparency & serve as the backbone of investor confidence.” He added, “Every enterprise that raises capital, scales, and engages investors needs sound governance architecture, and Company Secretaries are at the core of it.”
Speaking at the 58th Foundation Day of ICSI, Dr. Sonal Mansingh said, “Real governance begins with self-governance. Be consistent, stay persistent, and move forward until you achieve your goal. Enjoy what you do, for passion turns compliance into impact.”
On this momentous occasion, the ICSI incorporated the International Forum for Governance Professionals (IFGP), a Section 8 Company, to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange in governance, compliance, ESG, and sustainability across the globe.
The ICSI also unveiled the MSME Compliance Calendar 2027, increased the limit of the Company Secretary Benevolent Fund to Rs 15,00,000/-, and felicitated top CSBF donors.
As part of the Shaheed Ki Beti initiative, the ICSI handed over a cheque of Rs. 11 Lakh as a humble contribution to the National Defence Fund and Rs. 1 Lakh to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
The ICSI entered into strategic collaborations with Aditya Birla Capital Health Insurance and with TeamLease RegTech Private Limited by signing MoUs for the benefit of its stakeholders.
Honoured by the presence of esteemed luminaries, CS Pawan G Chandak, President, the ICSI, highlighted the ICSI’s continued dedication to shaping a robust, transparent governance architecture for India Inc. Reflecting on 58 years of excellence, he reaffirmed ICSI’s unwavering commitment to cultivating a strong culture of corporate governance across India.
