Governor pays tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Assam and Manipur Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya along with officers and staff of Governor’s Secretariat of Manipur paid floral tributes to the Iron Man of India Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Nation’s 1st Home Minister who worked relentlessly for the unity and integrity of India, on his Birth Anniversary celebrated as National Unity Day at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan in Imphal.
Paying rich tributes, Shri while remembering the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who was instrumental in strengthening the unity of the country. The Governor said that Sardar Patel was known for taking important decisions without wasting time.
He also said that Sardar Patel unified the nation by annexing the princely states after independence of the nation. He said that Patel was very inspirational and his life is source of knowledge. The Governor also said that the Unity Run organized on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Is an opportunity to cherish the unity amidst diversities and work together for the betterment of the nation.
