Chief Minister tenders resignation to the Governor at Lok Bhavan, Assam
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma tendered his resignation to the Governor of Assam Sri Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Lok Bhavan, Assam today. The Chief Minister also requested the Governor to dissolve the present 15th Assam Legislative Assembly.
The Governor asked the Chief Minister to continue as the caretaker Chief minister till formation of the new Council of Ministers. He also accepted the request of the Chief Minister to dissolve the present 15th Assam Legislative Assembly.
