Assam Governor extends greetings on Id-ul-Zuha
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam, particularly the Muslim community, on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha.
In his message, the Governor said that Id-ul-Zuha symbolises the timeless values of sacrifice, compassion, faith and brotherhood. He called upon the people to celebrate the festival with a spirit of harmony, peace and mutual respect, while strengthening the bonds of unity among all sections of society.
Shri Acharya expressed hope that this sacred occasion would inspire everyone to uphold the ideals of goodwill, tolerance and collective responsibility for building a more compassionate and inclusive society.
The Governor also stated that Assam’s rich tradition of communal harmony and brotherhood has always been its greatest strength and expressed confidence that the festival would further reinforce the spirit of togetherness and amity among the people of the state.
