Assam Governor extends greetings on Guru Nanak Jayanti
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: On the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam, especially to members of the Sikh community.
In his message, the Governor said that the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, is an occasion to recall his timeless teachings of love, equality, and unity. He added that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s message of universal brotherhood, compassion, and service to humanity continues to inspire generations across the world.
Shri Acharya urged everyone to follow the Guru’s path of truth, selflessness, and righteousness to build a society based on peace, harmony, and goodwill. He expressed hope that the festival would strengthen the spirit of togetherness and promote understanding among all communities.
