Assam Governor attends valedictory function of Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra-2023
Appreciates organizer for the noble endeavour
Guwahati, Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended the valedictory function of Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra-2023 organized by Students Experience in Inter-state Living (SEIL) under Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad at a function held in Cotton University. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Shri Kataria said, “This yatra (journey) represents the diverse culture of India. Thousands of youth have got the opportunity to know the country through this yatra with the help of which the youth of the country are getting to know the diverse regions and their culture.” The Governor also said that Rashtriya Ekatmata Yatra is an endeavour in sync with the spirit of ‘Unity in Diversity’ to see and experience the beautiful country Bharat. He also said that the youth need to know thoroughly about the rich culture, history, and demography of the country and therefore, this yatra becomes very important. Underlining the benefits of travelling, Shri Katria also said that traveling provides an opportunity to gain practical knowledge of the world that broadens their outlook. He also said that the youth should be provided with adequate opportunities for undertaking travel. By getting diverse experiences they learn to look at events and things from a new perspective. The Governor congratulated the students who returned after visiting North-Eastern states under the yatra. It may be noted that under the yatra, the participants undertook extensive travel for 15 days in different North Eastern states. He said that it is a unique opportunity to visit, understand and appreciate the various forms of the culture, its people. Shri Kataria also hailed the young participants of the yatra and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad for taking such an initiative which according to him would help in nation building. Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah, National Organizing Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Ashish Chauhan, Vice Chancellor of Cotton University Prof. Ramesh Chandra Deka, along with a host of other dignitaries were present in the valedictory function.
