Governor celebrates Pre-Diwali with Lok Bhavan officers, staff and their children
Guwahati, Rongili Barta: Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya celebrated a special Pre-Diwali programme with the officers and staff of Lok Bhavan, Assam.
Extending his heartfelt Diwali greetings, the Governor said that this festival of lights, symbolises the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. He said, “Diwali which is rooted in India’s timeless civilisational ethos, reminds us that the true illumination of life comes not just from the lamps we light in our homes, but from the values of truth, compassion, righteousness and selfless service that we nurture within our hearts”.
It may be noted that as part of the celebrations, various competitions were organised for the children of Lok Bhavan under the banner ‘Lok Bhavan Assam Ke Pahal – Navdeep Viksit Bharat Ke Nirman Mein’. The Governor distributed prizes to the winners in recognition of their participation and achievements.
The programme also featured the distribution of sweets among the officers and staff members, adding to the festive spirit and reinforcing the values of sharing, affection and togetherness associated with Diwali.
