Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu calls on Governor
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Minister of Education, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, called on the Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya here at Lok Bhavan today and briefed him on the initiatives undertaken to strengthen the higher education sector in the State.
Dr. Pegu during his briefing highlighted the sustained efforts being undertaken to enhance the quality of higher education, expand access to educational opportunities, and foster a vibrant ecosystem for research, innovation, and academic excellence.
Governor Shri Acharya appreciated the initiatives pursued by the Education Department especially in creating infrastructure and bringing about quality improvement in higher education. He also commended the minister in ensuring his department in shaping a knowledgeable, skilled, and future-ready society. He expressed confidence that the State’s continued focus on quality education, innovation, and inclusive growth would contribute significantly to the state’s overall development. He also asked Dr. Pegu to constantly keep track on the changes happening in higher education and enable the state to adapt to the changes especially in the arena of AI and virtual mode of higher education.
