Governor attends Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at 3 No. Bhauriya Bhita Gaon Panchayat in Kamrup District
Requests people to take benefits of government welfare schemes
Guwahati, Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria today attended ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ programme at 3 No. Bhauriya Bhita Gaon Panchayat at Goroimari in Kamrup District. Addressing to the local people of the gaon panchayat, the Governor urged them to avail the benefits of the central welfare schemes. He also asked the district administration to reach out to the maximum number of families, generate awareness about government schemes and encourage enrolment of more beneficiaries. Shri Kataria also said that a Viksit Bharat can be attained only when every person of the nation is developed, every child gets education, and every person gets health care services. He said that the government schemes are all designed to bring welfare to their lives. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is committed to making everybody empowered said that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra will be successful only when every beneficiary gets their entitlement and gets access to government schemes. He said it is an awareness programme for those sections of people who are eligible under various schemes, but have not availed of the benefits so far. During his address, the Governor also spoke about PM Modi’s vision of a developed India and urged the citizens to participate in the yatra with full cooperation. He also highlighted the saturation approach in the implementation of government schemes. He also hailed Kamrup district administration for organizing successful Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The Governor also discussed the One Nation One Ration Card, simplifying life for people, and spoke on the government’s efforts in providing extensive facilities to farmers in the agriculture sector. The Governor also spoke on various schemes like Ayushmaan Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, PMGAY, PMFBY, Jan Dhan Yojana, Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana and many others. A pledge for Viksit Bharat was also taken on the occasion. The Governor also visited the stalls set up to spread awareness about the major government schemes to attain saturation and reach out to all beneficiaries who have till now not been able to attain the benefits of these schemes. DDC Kamrup Norsing Bey, CEO Kamrup Zila Parishad Parag Kakoti, AP President Lokman Hussain, Social worker Anish Ahmed Bhuyan were also present in the programme.
