Extension of One Man Inquiry Commission term
Dispur,Rongili Barta- The Assam Government has extended the term of the One Man Inquiry Commission headed by Justice (Retd.) B.D . Agarwal to inquiry into the circumstances leading to the Police firing during the eviction drive conducted by the District Administration at Dhalpur area under Sipajhar Revenue Circle in Darrang District on 23 rd September, 2021 resulting in death of 02 (two) persons injuries to several persons, including police personal for a further period of 06 (six) months w.e.f 1 st January, 2023 or till the submission of its report, whichever is earlier.
