Teachers’ Conference by Siliguri Chapter of EIRC of ICSI
Rongili Barta- The Siliguri Chapter of EIRC of ICSI successfully organized the Teachers’ Conference on 22nd September 2024 at Hotel Saluja Residency, Siliguri.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, with Dr. Debasis Dutta, Registrar (Officiating), University of North Bengal, serving as the Hon’ble Chief Guest, and Dr. Minakshi Chakraborty, Principal, Kalipada Ghosh Tarai Mahavidyalaya, as the Hon’ble Guest of Honour.
The Siliguri Chapter was honoured to have CS Rupanjana De, Central Council Member, ICSI and Mentor of Siliguri Chapter, and CS (Dr.) Mohit Shaw, Chairman, EIRC of ICSI, who shared their Special Address through online mode.
A special session was conducted by Prof. Samirendra Nath Dhar, Department of Commerce, University of North Bengal, who spoke on the topic “Balancing Teaching and Research: Strategies for Teachers in HEIs.”
Additionally, CS Nikhil Ishrani, a Practicing Company Secretary from Kolkata, delivered insightful presentations on “Optimizing Tax Planning Strategies – Old vs. New Income Tax Regime” and “Career as a Company Secretary.”
The Conference began with a warm Welcome Address delivered by CS Vikash Mittal, Chairman, Siliguri Chapter of EIRC of ICSI and lighting of the lamp. CS (Dr.) Pintu Prasad Jaiswal, Vice Chairman, Siliguri Chapter, served as the Programme Coordinator, while CS Pallavi Bhagat expertly anchored the event.
The Teachers’ Conference, titled “Empowering Educators”, was attended by many educators from various colleges and universities across North Bengal and Guwahati. It was an honor for the Siliguri Chapter to acknowledge the exceptional contributions made by these educators in the fields of Commerce and Management, and each one of them was felicitated for their dedication.
The event also saw enthusiastic participation from the Managing Committee Members CS Amit Kumar Goyal, Treasurer and CS Ashleen Saluja, Member of the Siliguri Chapter, along with several students.
