Relaunching of ICSI-Shillong Study Centre, Tie-Up with Supercare Hospital, Career Awareness Programme and 1st Study Circle Meeting by NE Chapter of ICSI in Shillong
Rongili Barta- The North Eastern Chapter of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India renewed the ICSI-Shillong Study Centre in Shillong College, Shillong, Meghalaya on 19th April 2022. Dr. Mrs. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Hon’ble MLA, Laitumkhrah Constituency graced the re-launching Ceremony held in Shillong College on 19th April 2022 as Chief Guest. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CS Pradeep Sharma, Chairman, North Eastern Chapter of ICSI and Dr. Eva Kharkongor, Principal, Shillong College in the august presence of the Hon’ble Chief Guest and other Dignitaries and participants of the Occasion.
During the re-launching Ceremony, the ICSI NE Chapter also entered into a Tie-up with Supercare Hospital, Shillong. The Hospital shall provide medical facilities to the CS Members and their dependents; Employees of ICSI and their dependents including retired and supporting Employees; and Students of ICSI at discounted rates.
The re-launching ceremony was followed by a Career Awareness Programme for the Students of Shillong College. The Career Awareness Programme discussed on ICSI; Ministry of Corporate Affairs; CS Course; How to become a Company Secretary; Scope, Opportunities, Duties and Responsibilities of a Company Secretary. Shri Chiranjeeb Sarma Roy, Office In-Charge, NE Chapter of ICSI graced the Career Awareness Programme as Speaker.
The North Eastern Chapter of ICSI for the 1st Time in the history of the Chapter, conducted a Study Circle Meeting in Shillong. The Study Circle Meeting was conducted from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on 19th April 2022 at Hotel Best Holiday Inn, Shillong. The Study Circle Meeting was conducted on the occasion of ICSI Secretarial Standards Week. CS Jyoti Chettri, Practicing Company Secretary from Shillong graced the Study Circle Meeting as Speaker. The Study Circle Meeting discussed on Decoding the Secretarial Standards and Guidance Notes issued by the ICSI. CMA Rana Bose, Chief General Manager (Finance) NEEPO; and Chairman, Guwahati Branch of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India graced the Study Circle Meeting by his esteemed presence and Special Address.
Shri Chiranjeeb Sarma Roy, Office In-Charge, NE Chapter of ICSI coordinated the relaunching ceremony as well as the Study Circle Meeting.
CS Pradeep Sharma, Chairman, North Eastern Chapter of ICSI delivered the Welcome Address in all the Events in Shillong on 19th April 2022 organised by ICSI NE Chapter.
