It took time to get to know you.
Time to break down my wall
Time to fall in love
Time to allow myself at all!
It took time to love myself
But it was you who made me see
That the parts I never loved
Are still a part of me.
It took time to make room
For all this love inside my heart
And I was unprepared
When in no time at all
It felt apart!!
It took time to stop the tears
Fit the pieces back together
To fall out off love
Choose myself.. choose whatever
Time now to love again
To look with an open mind
Look to see to the future
And stop looking behind!!
