Beyond the silence
Jyotima Choudhury
Mirza, Gopalpur
I see them
I want to flee from them
Into my room and close the doors.
Eyes feel dry,
Rushing thoughts fill the mind
Yet the tongue goes quiet
My softened face
Stiffens into one that look angry,
Disgusted, unbothered,
As if possessed by demon.
A fate coded early,
Spiralled the simple thread into coiled one.
I cannot untie it,
Only remain away from it.
A magician
Living a bit far
Uncoils the thread
Back to its simple form,
with powers of a healer.
With few grains
I possess,
The magic may stop.
Yet I want to see
Till where it flows.
