Siliguri Chapter of ICSI holds Teachers’ Conference 2026
Academic Fraternity Felicitated for Contribution to Commerce Education
SILIGURI, Rongili Barta: The Siliguri Chapter of EIRC of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised the ICSI Teachers’ Conference 2026 for University and College Teachers on Saturday, 26th September 2026 at The Hotel Cindrella, Siliguri.
The Conference brought together members of the academic fraternity for interaction with ICSI representatives, focusing on professional education, contemporary compliance matters, career opportunities and holistic well-being.
Dr Minakshi Chakraborty, Principal, KGT Mahavidyalaya, Bagdogra, was the Chief Guest.
CA and CS Simran Saria Bansal spoke on “GST Returns and Compliance,” offering insights into the current GST compliance framework. Shri Gurdeep Singh, Faculty at Art of Living, addressed the gathering on “The Art of Mental Peace,” stressing the importance of mental well-being and balance in personal and professional life.
CS (Dr) Pintu Prasad Jaiswal, Programme Director and Immediate Former Chairman of the Siliguri Chapter of EIRC-ICSI, delivered the welcome address and spoke on “Career as a Company Secretary,” outlining opportunities in the profession and the role of educators in guiding students towards it.
Teachers from various Universities and Colleges were felicitated for their contribution to commerce education.
CS Vineet Kumar Agarwal, Chapter Secretary, and CS Nitin Gupta, Former Chairman and Managing Committee Member, Siliguri Chapter of EIRC of The ICSI were also present, along with other members of the academic and professional fraternity.
CS student Ms. Krishika Surana coordinated the programme, with Ms. Khushi Kumari Gupta, Ms. Palak Sinha, Mr. Bhole Chettri, Mr. Tilak Mishra, Mr. CA Yadhu Krishna and other student volunteers assisting.
The Siliguri Chapter thanked the Chief Guest, Speakers, Teachers, Members and Volunteers for making the event successful.
