ONGCL extends support to Government of Assam for restoration of flood affected schools under CSR fund
Guwahati, Rongili Barta: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed today between Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGCL) and Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) at the conference hall of ASDMA, Janata Bhawan, Dispur to support towards rebuilding & restoration of flood-affected schools in Assam especially in Sivasagar and Charaideo districts under corporate social responsibility (CSR) of ONGCL.

The MoA was signed by Shri Niraj kumar Bansal, Group General Manager – Head Corporate, CSR , ONGCL, NEW DELHI and Shri Parag Kumar Kakaty, ACS, Additional Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management (R&DM) and Addl. Chief Executive Officer, ASDMA in the presence of Shri Atal Srivastava, General Manager-CSR , ONGCL, NEW DELHI, Smt. Bandana Das, Liaison Officer, ONGCL, Guwahati, Shri Pankaj Chamuah, ACS, Deputy Secretary, (R&DM) and State Project Coordinator, ASDMA and other senior officials of ASDMA.

As per the MoA, ONGC would support the government of Assam with financial assistance of Rs. 20 Cr. for rebuilding & restoration of around 650 flood-affected schools in Assam especially in Sivasagar and Charaideo districts which have been severely affected by the recent floods. The Project shall be completed in 07 months from the date of release of the CSR fund.
