Governor attends foundation day celebration of Uttarakhand at Raj Bhavan
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Continuing its initiative to celebrate the Statehood Days of different States and Union Territories, Raj Bhavan, Assam under the leadership of Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya observed the Foundation Day of Uttarakhand at a function held in its conference hall here today.

Speaking on the occasion Governor Shri Acharya extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttarakhand on the 25th anniversary of the State’s formation. He said, “Today, we have all become witnesses to a sacred moment, a moment that fills our hearts with pride, and joy. We have gathered here to celebrate the Uttarakhand State Foundation Day.”
Recalling that Uttarakhand came into existence on November 9, 2000, the Governor paid homage to the noble souls who took an active role in the creation of the State. He lauded Uttarakhand’s journey of 25 years, describing it as a story of resilience, hard work, and pride and praised its achievements in infrastructure, economy, and environment.

Describing Uttarakhand as Devbhoomi the Land of the Gods, Governor Shri Acharya said, “It is a land where nature, culture, and spirituality breathe together where the Himalayas touch the skies and the Ganga and Yamuna originate.” The Governor emphasized that Uttarakhand embodies the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’, serving as a bridge of unity connecting India’s diverse regions. He lauded the State for balancing modern development with its cultural and spiritual roots.
Governor Shri Acharya also said that Uttarakhand is not merely a land of mountains it is a land of hearts. When the faith of Devbhoomi connects with the spirit of the entire nation, the dream of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat becomes a living reality.

The program was attended by a host of dignitaries as well as the representatives of Uttarakhand and officers and staff of Raj Bhavan.
