A counselling, essay test and personal interview conducted under the “Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana” 2025
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: A counselling session, essay test, and personal interview for shortlisted and waitlisted candidates (selected through the Screening Test) under the Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana 2025 were held on 5th and 6th October 2025 at Rohika, AAU- International Guest House here.
Launched in 2024 under the guidance of the Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, the Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana is a flagship initiative aimed at identifying and supporting meritorious students from Assam who aspire to join the All India Civil Services. The scheme provides free coaching for the UPSC Civil Services Examination in Delhi, enabling talented youth from the State to access high-quality mentorship and guidance. The 2025 edition marks the second phase of this initiative.
The counselling session was addressed by Executive Director (Projects), Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha and Akhil Bhartiya Dayanand Sewashram Anu Vasudeva. In her remarks, she encouraged the aspirants to pursue their goals with determination, sincerity, and strong moral values. Controller of Finance, Ambedkar University Delhi Rajiv Talwar, shared his valuable insights and experiences with the participants, motivating them to remain focused and consistent in their preparation. The aspirants also had an interactive session with Abhigyan Khaund, (Indian Forest Service 2024 batch), who shared his personal journey, effective preparation strategies, and the importance of perseverance in the pursuit of success.
The counselling session concluded with an address by Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor S. S. Meenakshi Sundaram. He congratulated the shortlisted candidates and appreciated the enthusiasm and dedication shown by all participants. He also reiterated the Governor’s vision of nurturing young talents of Assam and empowering them to compete successfully at the national level.
The shortlisted and waitlisted candidates participated in the entire process of counselling session, essay test and personal interview. The Counselling session was followed by an Essay Test and Personal Interview (conducted in hybrid mode) to evaluate the candidates’ aptitude, analytical ability, and motivation for public service. Based on overall performance, 10 candidates were selected for the free UPSC coaching programme in New Delhi. The free coaching programme will be organized in collaboration with Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan, under the aegis of the Akhil Bhartiya Dayanand Sewashram Sangh, at leading coaching institutions for Civil Services Examination in New Delhi.
The Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana continues to serve as a flagship initiative of the Governor of Assam, dedicated to empowering the deserving youth of the State. By providing opportunities, mentorship, and access to high-quality resources, the programme seeks to prepare aspirants to excel in the Civil Services Examination and contribute effectively to the nation’s development.
