Third Night of 15th Annual Brajanath Sharma Memorial Inter-State Drama Festival
Rongili Barta- Samahar Natya Gosthee’s 15th Annual Brajanath Sharma Memorial Inter-State Drama Festival is being held from 12th to 15th September 2024, at District Library Auditorium in the city.
YESTERDAY, Jagiroad Natyagosthi performed “IMAAN DHUNIYA PRITHIBIKHON”. The play, written and directed by well-known theatre personality Mr Tarun Talukdar, revolveed around two youths addicted to drugs. It showed the dangerous impact of such a menace on our society, and the possible way forward to get rid of it.
TODAY’S PLAY ( 15th September) – 4:45 pm & 7 pm (two shows) – (Sukumar Pathak Evening) – Samahar Natya Gosthee will stage the maiden show of their latest play “NYAY”. The play, written and directed by Dr Sitanath Lahkar, is on the burning issues of lynching and rape. It highlights the ordeal faced by a rape victim and how she copes up with the stigma attached to it. The struggle to get justice in such circumstances is not an easy path – this is the say of the drama.
