Assam Governor attends Rudra Mahayagna and Kameshwari Maha Aradhna
Guwahati,Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya attended Shri Shri Rudra Mahayagya and Kameshwari Maha Aradhana at the Khanapara Veterinary playground in the city today and prayed for the welfare of the people of the state. It may be mentioned that the Maha yagna was organised as a part solemn prayer meeting for world peace and performed in the presence of Jagat Guru Shankaracharya Swami Adhokshajananda ji Maharaj.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Shri Acharya said, ‘This Maha Yajna is being performed for Loka Kalyan and for the peace of all mankind. It is even heartening that such a grand vedic ritual is being performed in a selfless manner in the Divine Presence of the Swami ji, which creates a positive energy in its entirety.”
Speaking on the rich spiritual heritage of Assam, the Governor while paying his reverence and remembrance of the great Vaisnavite scholar Srimanta Sankardeva, the Governor hailed the profound impact of the Gurujina is his address. He also said that Assam is a land which is immensely blessed by the wisdom of Srimanta Sankardev. The influence of Gurujona is deeply ingrained in the socio-cultural and spiritual fabric of the state. His ideals have always aimed at fostering peace and spreading positivity among the people of Assam, the Governor added.
Shri Acharya also noted that the positive atmosphere created by the Yagna is contributing significantly to infusing a renewed sense of energy and optimism across the state. The Governor expressed his appreciation for the presence of the Shankaracharya at the sacred yagna, affirming that “the Shankaracharya’s participation underscores the sanctity of this event and brings much-needed momentum to Assam’s development journey. Devotees from different parts of the state and nation also took part in the Mahayagya.
