2-days Universal Travel Conclave (UTC) begins in Guwahati aiming to boost the tourism of North East

Guwahati, Rongili Barta-  Fairview Media Pvt. Ltd. (FMPL) commenced the first day of Universal Travel Conclave (UTC) at Hotel Radisson Blu, Guwahati on August 2nd, 2024. This international tourism conclave, themed “UTC Connect,” promises to bring together a diverse array of stakeholders from across the travel, tourism, aviation, and hospitality sectors.

The inaugural session was graced by esteemed guests including Mr. Ruhul Amin, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Guwahati, Mr. P. P. Khanna, President – ADTOI; Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, Patron-in-Chief, Byatikram Group; Dr. Rajan Parekh, Secretary, MTOA; Mr. Mukul Medhi, President, TOAA; alongside prominent figures from various travel and tourism organizations. 

The welcome address on behalf of UTC was delivered by Mr. Pradip Kumar Karar, CEO & Chairperson and expressed his enthusiasm about the conclave, stating, “UTC Connect will elevate global tourism connectivity, foster new relationships, and unlock transformative business prospects in India and abroad.”

Mr. Ruhul Amin, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Guwahati, who remarked, “The Universal Travel Conclave presents a significant opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties and promote cultural exchange through tourism between Bangladesh and the North East region of India.”

Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, Patron-in-chief of Byatikram Group, who expressed his views, “I am delighted to witness such an impactful initiative that not only showcases the potential of North East India but also fosters sustainable tourism practices crucial for our region’s development.”

The conclave features keynote speakers and panel discussions on pivotal topics such as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) in global business travel, wellness and medical tourism, inbound and outbound tourism trends in India, and more. This platform aims to provide invaluable insights and opportunities for industry professionals to address current challenges and explore collaborative ventures.

Supported by esteemed governmental tourism boards, international stakeholders, and industry influencers from South East Asia, UTC Connect aims to foster global partnerships and drive business opportunities through a dynamic program of road shows, audio-visual presentations, conferences, and networking sessions. The conclave will continue on 3rd of August 2024 in presence of industry experts.

Following Guwahati, UTC is scheduled to continue its journey across Delhi, Hyderabad, Dehradun, and Bangkok until 2025, reinforcing its commitment to expanding international tourism partnerships.
