Workshop on “School Readiness” conducted by Samagra Shiksha, Assam
Rongili Barta- Samagra Shiksha, Assam in association with Pratham Education Foundation, conducted a two-day workshop at the State Mission Office, Guwahati on February 9 & 10, 2023. This workshop was conducted with the aim of improving children’s school readiness skills under the initiative of NIPUN Bharat. Representatives from Samagra Shiksha, Pratham, SCERT and the Department of Social Welfare were present during the brainstorming and planning sessions. The “School Readiness Programme” will be launched on a pilot basis in ten districts of Assam, namely; Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Jorhat, Kamrup, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sibsagar, Sonitpur and Tinsukia. The emphasis here is to improve the socio-cognitive skills of children before entering in Class-I.
