Assam Governor greets people on Kali Puja and Deepawali
Guwahati, Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi extended his greeting to the people of Assam on the joyous occasion of Kali Puja and Deepawali. The Governor said that may the divine blessings of Maa Kali bring joy and prosperity to the people of the state. In a message to the people, Prof. Mukhi said, “Deepawali is the festival of light and signifies the victory of righteousness over the evil. The festival also dispels darkness to herald happiness and prosperity. May this festival of lights be the harbinger of peace, joy and prosperity to ward off all darkness from our state to strengthen the bond of unity, amity and brotherhood amidst us”. He also said, “Let us on this occasion work together to make Assam cleaner and greener and celebrate a pollution free Deepawali”.
