Voters Party International will definitely remove EVM from elections: Vishwatma
Massive “Voter Akrosh Rally” organised on party’s sixth foundation day
VPI will never allow the illegal eviction of people to uproot from their houses and land
Udalguri,Rongili Barta- Mr. Vishwatma, Founder and Policy Director of Voters Party International has said that his party will uproot EVM machines definitely one day from the elections. He said that due to EVM machines, people no longer believe in the fairness of elections. This is a major threat to democracy and to the constitution. If the ruling party is not misusing EVM machines to win elections, why is it afraid of removing the same? Speaking on unemployment, Mr. Vishwatma said that due to the WTO, most of the works are now captured by machines. Therefore, the Voters Party is demanding that the money generated by the hard work of the machines should be sent to the account of the voters every month in the name of voter pension or votership Right. He asked “When the Parliamentary committee has accepted this, why is the Assam Assembly afraid of passing this resolution? Mr. Vishwatma said that if the voter had got this right by law, then every voter of would be getting at least ₹ 8000 every month from the government treasury today. He said that if the government does not accept the matter of votership, then it will have to leave power. Opposing the eviction drive being carried out by the administration in the state, he said that people are being evicted from their houses and are being uprooted from their land by violating laws. He added that this is a wake-up call for democracy. Mr Vishwatma said his party workers say he will die but they will not allow illegal eviction campaigns. Mr. Vishwatma said that the Voters Party will struggle from roads to Parliament and the up to Supreme Court to save lands of people. Mr. Vishwatma said that the war between Ukraine and Russia is telling that now the world can be a victim of World War III anytime. He said that the day can come any time when bombs will start raining from the sky instead of raining water. He suggested that the government must therefore immediately create a ministry, which should work for a new international treaty. He added that by this treaty, the Charter of the United Nations should be reformed and this organization should be given the status of United National Government.
Addressing the gathering, Senior Advocate Mrs. Babita Sharma Goyal of Gauhati High Court and the President of all India Committee of the VPI said that Voters Party International is struggling to bring happiness, prosperity and peace in each and every family. She observed that “It is unfortunate that many people are engaged in spreading misinformation about the party without understanding the real intention of the party. Commenting on the eviction drive, the senior advocate said that if the authorities break the law in the name of eviction, then the concerned officers will have to be punished by the High Court and the Supreme Court as per law Addressing the “Voter Akrosh Rally”, the party’s Assam State President Lalit Pegu said that the struggle for Votership Votership Right will end the rule of selfish politicians and establish the rule of voters in the country. He said that the dream of good governance could only be realized only when the rule of voters will come in the country. Mr. Pegu said that the party workers are ready to sacrifice to any extent to get the Right of Votership. The state president of VPI further said that party workers will neither be afraid of threats from the government, nor will they be afraid of police lathis and will not be afraid of going to jail. He will accept his right. The rally was attended by a large crowd. The Dimpu Club ground in Udalguri town was packed. The meeting, which started at 10 am, continued till 4 pm and people stood firm. A long queue was seen before the donation boxes to deposit the envelope containing the donation amount for the party. People from all communities like Adivasi, Bodo, Muslim, Assamese, Rabha, Bengali, Gorkha etc. were seen in the meeting. The meeting was addressed by Ranjay Basumatary, Sunil Sarkar, Sarojini Basumatary, Pavitra Boro of the party’s state committee and State President of Mission for Global Change Mr. Tarni Basumatary and others.
