Vice-Chairman Ramen Deka holds discussion with World Agroforestry Members
Dispur, Rongili Barta- Hon’ble Vice-Chairman Sri Ramen Deka holds a discussion with the officials of World Agroforestry which is working with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change with an initiative to plant trees outside the forest in India. As they have shown interest to work with SITA to take up initiatives within the state of Assam, a discussion-meeting was convened by the Hon’ble Vice-Chairman Sri Ramen Deka today at his office chamber at Janata Bhawan, Dispur. Vice-Chairman Ramen Deka is of the view that if the project is taken up, a follow-up maintenance needs to be prepared for its proper growth which can benefit our livelihood and the ecosystem. Co- Vice Chairman Sri Dhruba Prasad Baishya, Sri Diganta Sarma, State Coordinator, TOFI Assam, Sri Pushkal Bagchie, State Associate, Assam, Dr. Nilutpal Mahanta, State Associate, Assam were present in the meeting.
