Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs gives a courtesy call to Governor; the duo discuss issues of tribals of the state

 Guwahati, August 25: Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Renuka Singh paid a courtesy visit to Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhavan today.

          Governor Prof. Mukhi and the Minister discussed various Central Govt. sponsored schemes and their assiduous implementation for the welfare of the tribals in the state. The minister also briefed the Governor about a few Central projects that are on pipe line for Assam. The Governor apprised the Union Minister that the State government has given top priority for the implementation of the schemes to ensure that the fruits of development reach the tribals of the society. He also said that all steps have been taken to make sure that schemes of the government essentially bring about tangible changes in the lives of the tribal people of the state.
