Successful Completion of Day 1 of Byatikram International Writers Meet 2024
Guwahati,Rongili Barta– Byatikram MASDO commenced the third edition of the Byatikram International Writers Meet 2024 in Guwahati, Assam, running from November 22 to 25, 2024. This prestigious event has brought together distinguished writers, poets, and intellectuals from around the world to celebrate the richness of literature and culture.
Prominent literary figures participating in the event include Tendo Taijin (Japan), Alexandra Nicod (Switzerland), Miodrag Jaksic (Serbia), Hussein Habasch (Germany), Kieu Bich Hau and Cao Thi Hong (Vietnam), Jorge Contreras Herrera and Jorge Antonio García Pérez (Mexico), Ahmad Al Shahawy and Dr. Sara Hamid Hawass (Egypt), Dr. Reshma Ramesh, Ashok Chakraborty, Mita Das Purkayastha, Bikash Sarkar, Prof. Jiban Nath, Bijay Shankar Sur, and other renowned writers from Assam and beyond.
The inaugural program was marked by a grand welcome and felicitation ceremony for the poets, held at Aurus Mall, Guwahati. The event was graced by notable literary personalities such as Dr. Rita Chowdhury, Manikuntala Bhattacharya, Dr. Jiban Nath, Bikash Sarkar, and Bijay Shankar Sur. Eminent filmmaker and social activist Shankar Lall Goenka and Razvee Hussain, ACS, were also present to lend their support.
On behalf of Jeewan Ram Mungi Devi Goenka Public Charitable Trust, Shri Shankar Lall Goenka, Managing Trustee also extended a warm felicitation to all the poets with a special memento.

Day 2 schedule includes engaging sessions at Sarla Birla Gyan Jyoti (Amingaon), Dispur College, and Gauhati Artist’s Guild (Chandmari).
Day 3 includes a literary programme organized by the Bengali Department and alumni of the Cotton University and in the evening a gathering at Hotel Vivanta.
This year’s event also features the launch of several literary works, including: Prof. Jiban Nath’s seven books: Nath Yoga Nibandhakrtsna, Charyapder Teen Kabi, Amader Purva Purush, Adeep, Matsendra Kathanak, Ekamkika, and Chauddapadi Sonnet and Bijay Shankar Sur’s works: Trikhandito Bharat Darpan and Gopon Premer Darshan.
Day 4 will hold a concluding ceremony and valedictory program at Hotel Landmark, bringing the meet to a grand close.
