SITA Vice-Chairman inaugurates Assam Japan Gateway 2023

Dispur, Rongili Barta- State Innovation and Transformation Aayog (SITA) Vice-Chairman Sri Ramen Deka inaugurated Assam Japan Gateway 2023 which was held at Mayfair Spring Valley, Guwahati today. For the first time the event is held to bring together Assam and Japan to celebrate shared values, innovations and opportunities. The event is hoped to unite diverse industries, opening doors to new possibilities and invaluable connections. The programme is organized by Mirai Japanese Learning Centre, Guwahati and supported by State Innovation and Transformation Aayog (SITA), Government of Assam, Kotoba Business Consulting Pvt. Limited (KBC), HIJD Inc. and Indobox Inc. Innaugurating the Assam Japan Gateway 2023, Vice-Chairman Sri Ramen Deka said that the event is a step to strengthen the relationship between Assam and Japan. He spoke at length on the prospect of providing a platform for Assamese and Japanese people for future collaboration, partnerships and economic ties between the two, paving the way for lasting connections and growth. He also spoke on the possibility of looking for opportunity for technical exchange for growth in the tea sector. The primary focus and key objectives of the Assam Japan Gateway 2023 are for mutual development for economic growth, cultural harmony and socio- economic bonding, mutual development for economic growth. The event is hoped to unlock opportunities in sectors like innovations in Agriculture and Technology, uncovering destinations and services, education and employability and startups such as nurturing innovation and entrepreneurships. The highlight of the two-day event will be on cultural fusion, exploring business opportunities, panel discussions, Buyer-Seller Meet, product launching and exhibition, gastronomic delights, workshops and demonstrations & tourism Showcases. The inaugural session was attended by Mr. Tashi Ariyosai, Deputy Chief of Mission Japan Ambassy to India, Mr. Yoshida Koji, Counsellor, PR and Culture and officials of SITA & Mirai.
