Raha Museum observed 133 rd Birth anniversary of Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi
Dispiur,Rongili Barta- The 133 rd Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi, the first Chief Minister of Assam, post-Independence, was observed by the Gopinath Bordoloi Memorial Museum in Raha on June 6 (Monday). Organised under the aegis of the Directorate of Museum, a Clay modelling workshop was conducted by artiste Hemanta Saikia and Bikram Senapati as part of the day-long celebration, wherein 15 children participated. A certificate of participation was handed over to all the participants during the Closing ceremony. Sashi Kanta Das, MLA, Raha while paying his tribute to the visionary leader, recalled about his significant contribution towards the State and its people. Also present on the occasion were Y.S.Wunglengton, Director, Directorate of Museums, Dr. Sonashree Brahma, Circle Officer, Raha and Dr. Rajashree Bora of Raha College among other dignitaries.
