Guwahati,Rongili Barta: As Guwahati gears up for Durga Puja, the city is beginning to take on a festive spirit, with cherished traditions, community celebrations and the anticipation of festive feasts bringing people together. Adding to the season’s culinary celebrations, Radisson Blu Guwahati presents a Bengali Food Festival- Flavours of Bengal at Café B You, featuring an elaborate spread of traditional delicacies, much-loved street food favourites and classic Bengali sweets.
Running from October 10 to 21, 2026, the festival invites guests to experience the diverse flavours of Bengali cuisine, bringing together traditional delicacies, seafood specialities, street food favourites and indulgent desserts in a celebration inspired by the season.
The specially curated spread showcases an array of Bengali favourites, including chingri malai curry, paturi, biryani and rezala. Seafood lovers can look forward to hilsa delicacies, prawn cutlets and rui macher jhol, alongside the rich, comforting flavours of kosha mangsho. The vegetarian selection features regional classics such as begun bhaja, posto and dhokar dalna, while live counters serving kathi rolls, jhal muri and puchka recreate the irresistible charm of Bengal’s bustling streets.
Adding a sweet touch to the festivities is a selection of traditional Bengali desserts, including rasgulla, chomchom, rajbhog, mishti doi and sandesh. Complementing the culinary spread are refreshing beverages inspired by familiar regional flavours, including Aam Panna with cumin and mint, Daab Sharbat made with tender coconut water, lime and honey, gondhoraj ghol with roasted cumin, and Nolen Gur Lassi infused with the distinctive sweetness of date palm jaggery.
Enhancing the festive dining experience, a live band will add to the celebratory atmosphere at Café B You, offering guests an inviting setting to gather with family and friends and savour the flavours of Bengal during this special time of year.
