Grant Handover by Vice-Chairman Ramen Deka for SITA’s funded project to implementing partner Assam Agricultural University
Guwhati,Rongili Barta- Hon’ble Vice- Chairman Ramen Deka today handed over a demand draft for the first installment to Vice-Chancellor Dr. B.C Deka, Assam Agricultural University for the project viz.,”Integrated Approaches for Women Empowerment adopting Scientific Organized Goat Farming for Livelihood Enhancement and Establishment of Model Goat Farm” to be implemented by Assam Agricultural University in incorporation with Anajori Development Society (NGO), Nalbari in a ceremony held at AAU, Khanapara on 19th September 2022. The occasion was graced by SITA Co-Vice Chairman Dhruba Prasad Baishya, Chief Executive Officer (SITA) M.S Manivannan, DEAN(AAU) Dr. Bibeka Nanda Saikia, Director Dr. Niranjan Kalita, SITA Advisor G.G Das amongst others. Addressing the august gathering, Hon’ble Vice Chairman Ramen Deka emphasized that the state technocrats should come forward to upscale the economy of the state especially in the field of agriculture and hoped that the project which is sponsored by SITA will become a model project for the state which will be later replicated by the Govt of Assam for economic upliftment of the people of Assam. Vice-Chancellor Dr. B.C Deka, Co-Vice Chairman Dhruba Prasad Baishya and Chief Executive Officer M.S Manivannan, IAS were the other dignitaries who spoke on the occasion.
