Governor meets officials of Transforming Rural India Foundation
Guwahati, Rongili Barta- To strengthen the Governor’s Secretariat towards delivering an envisioned role, Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria held a meeting with the Managing Director of Transforming Rural India Foundation (TRIF) Anish Kumar in the conference hall of Raj Bhavan. The meeting the Governor discussed on the feasibility for using the services of the TRIF for preparing a blue print to help the Governor’s Secretariat to deliver its avowed objective. The meeting was also aimed at the strengthening the Governor’s Secretariat to effectively guide and facilitate comprehensive development of the state and more particularly the rural areas. The meeting also discussed the modalities of collaborative method with TRFI to empower the Governor’s Secretariat which is also the Chancellor’s Secretariat to render its services for the betterment of the state as well as higher educational institutes. The meeting was attended by the Commissioner and Secretary of the Governor SS Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Swapna Dutta Deka, and officials of the TRIF.
