Governor attends closing ceremony of ABVP’s 75th foundation day

Hails ABVP’s role of student enrichment and nation building

Guwahati, Rongili Barta- Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended the closing ceremony of  the 75th foundation day celebrations of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP),Assam Pradesh commemorated as Amrit Mahotsav at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra here. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that throughout history, the citizens of India have consistently risen to the occasion and served the nation with untiring valour and commitment. Their pivotal role in shaping the growth of India has been truly remarkable. From the valiant warriors like Rana Pratap and Lachit Borphukan to the visionary leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Veer Savarkar, every individual contributed immensely to the formation of the great Bharat. The Governor also said that being the oldest student union in the nation, ABVP has played an instrumental role in shaping India’s destiny. Throughout its journey, ABVP has consistently strived to foster unity. ABVP’s mission and vision have impelled it to ensure education for all, combat corruption, eradicate poverty among other works. The organization’s commitment to these causes has had a profound and positive impact on society, paving the way for a brighter future of India and its citizens. Reminiscing his initial ABVP days, the Governor said that AVBP’s student exchange programme stands as a shining testament to its dedication to fostering unity and harmony. It always reminds the countrymen that diversity is not a dividing force, but rather a beautiful tapestry of culture and tradition that strengthen the foundation of the country.  The Governor highlighting the contributions made by ABVP said that its demeanour towards nation building is indeed significant. Its role towards shaping the academic landscape of the country is indeed praiseworthy. However, in order to meet the challenges of today, ABVP should focus on the uplift of the students and the underprivileged. The ceremony was attended by  Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of the  Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sunil Ambekar, National Organizing Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad  Ashish Chauhan, State President Robin Kakoti, State Secretary Seemanta Kumar Baishya along with a host of other dignitaries.
