Conference of Chairmen of North Eastern States Public Service Commissions
Guwahati, Rongili Barta – A Conference of the Chairmen of the Public Service Commissions of the North Eastern Region was held today under the aegis of the Assam Public Service Commission at its Conference hall. Mr SB Subba, Hon’ble Chairman, Sikkim PSC, Shri Laisram A Chand Singh, IA&AS (Retd.), Hon‘ble Chairman, Manipur PSC and Shri W. Honje Konyak, NCS, Hon’ble Chairman, Nagaland PSC took part in the Conference. Dr. Ajanta Nath, Shri Ghana Kanta Pegu, ACS(Retd.), Dr. Padma Sharma and Smti. Nazreen Ahmed, ACS (Retd.), Hon’ble Members of APSCfelicitated the visiting Hon’ble Chairmen.In the Conference Shri B. B. Dev Choudhury, IAS (Retd.), Hon’ble Chairman, Assam PSC welcomed the delegates and made a presentation on recruitment examinations procedures of APSe. Thereafter, question paper preparation, moderation, evaluation, procedure for holding examinations, legal issues etc. of the Commission were also discussed in the Conference. Hon’ble Chairmen of Manipur, Nagaland and Sikkim PSCs also shared the information relating to the functioning of respective PSCs. It was also jointly discussed about the recruitment processes using the latest information technology, conduct of interviews and to recommend the best human resources for the all round development of the respective states. Hon‘ble Chairman, APSC intimated that such type of Conference will also be held in the North Eastern States PSCs in a phased manner.It was opined that the Conference will highly benefit the PSCs in implementing the best practices using the latest technology for the smooth, efficient and speedy functioning.
