Century Celebration of No. 6 Amolapatty Lower Primary School in Dibrugarh town

Hashim Ali,Dibrugarh,Rongili Barta-  A public meeting was held on January 4, 2025, under the chairmanship of senior social worker Anil Duwarah to plan the upcoming century celebration of No. 6, Amolapatty Lower Primary School. The school, located on Jananeta Ramesh Chandra Baruah Road near South Amolapatty Chariali in Dibrugarh, is preparing for this historic milestone. The meeting saw the participation of several dignitaries, including 85-year-old senior alumnus Rejibur Rahman (Anaar), other veteran former students, current and former teachers, and well-wishers. During the meeting, it was decided that the centenary celebration of School would be held over three days on May 9, 10, and 11, 2025. It is noteworthy that Durga Borthakur, a prominent social worker who served as the president of the school’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration Committee in 2000, has been appointed as the President of the Century Celebration Committee. Manoroma Baruah will serve as the working President, while the school’s Headmistress, Sangita Devi, and Ashok Baruah have been appointed as joint Secretaries. Souvik Bordoloi has been named the treasurer. Additionally, cultural secretaries Sujali Sonowal, Arifa Begum, Mayur Rakhi Barua, Bharati Buragohain. several Sub-committees have been formed to ensure the success of the event. The committee has earnestly requested the cooperation and support of the public to make the century celebration a grand success.
