Byatikram MASDO launched the song titled “Tumi Je Ahila” by Chandrima Bhattacharya, composed by the Late Artist Rishiraj Sharma
Guwahati,Rongili Barta- The song ‘Tumi Je Ahila’ by singer Chandrima Bhattacharya was launched at the Guwahati Press Club on Tuesday. It was the last song sung by the late Rishiraj Sharma, the worthy son of renowned musicians Dilip Sharma and Sudakshina Sharma. The song is sung by Chandrima Bhattacharya, a daughter of Assam and a famous singer from Kolkata. “Rishiraj Sharma was very close to me. I lost contact with Rishida as I was not in Assam for a long time. After he was in Kolkata for a few days due to illness, my relationship with Rishida deepened again. One day he said “Let’s do a song together” but later, due to Rishida’s illness and his untimely death, that plan was incomplete. So this time we are preparing to make his unfulfilled dreams into a reality. Launching the song Eminent Singer Manisha Hazarika said “Rishi was very talented. And I am very happy to release the song he composed on this special day.” “Late Rishiraj Sharma was associated with Byatikram MASDO and performed songs in our cultural programmes many a times. We are happy today to present his last song to the people of Assam even in his absence,” said Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, President of Byatikram MASDO.
