Governor meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi; extends Durga Puja and Dussehra
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in New Delhi today and extended his greetings on the auspicious occasions of Durga Puja and Dussehra.
During the meeting, the Governor shared his experiences of his visit to Mongolia, undertaken recently. He also apprised the Prime Minister of key initiatives undertaken by Lok Bhawan, Assam, aimed at promoting youth welfare, strengthening national consciousness, and fostering a spirit of patriotism among the younger generation.
The Governor highlighted two initiatives, namely Nashamukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Namo Matribhoomi Suraksha avam Swavalamban Sankalp Saptah. These initiatives reflect a commitment to empowering youth, raising awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse, and instilling a deeper sense of responsibility towards national security, self-reliance, and nation-building.
The Governor expressed his sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister for his guidance, and valuable interaction.
