Scientific Goat Rearing Training Programme Held at Patharighat

Kishor Kumar Sarmah, Mangaldai,Rongili Barta-  A 12 day Scientific Goat Rearing Off Campus Training Programme is being conducted at Krishak Swahid Bhawan, Patharighat, Darrang. The programme was inaugurated today by Jayanta Kumar Sarmah, President, Sipajhar Anchalik Panchayat, in the presence of ASRLM official Trilochan Nath, representatives of BMMU Sipajhar, and officials from RSETI Darrang. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sarmah emphasized the importance of women empowerment through need based skill training for sustainable livelihood development. He expressed satisfaction over the joint initiative of RSETI and ASRLM in organizing the programme and stated that such collaborative efforts would contribute significantly towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat and Viksit Assam. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nath encouraged all trainees to participate actively in the programme and make effective use of the knowledge and skills imparted under entrepreneurship and animal rearing initiatives to enhance their livelihoods. The training programme is being conducted jointly by RSETI Darrang and BMMU, ASRLM, Sipajhar. A total of 35 candidates from the Sipajhar Development Block area are participating in the programme. RSETI officials expressed confidence that the training programme would be completed successfully and would help participants improve their income generating opportunities through scientific goat rearing practices.
