Governor interacts with youth participants under “Ashtalakshmi Darshan, 2026 Youth Exchange programme

Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya interacted with 44 nos.of youth participants from Chhatisgarh and New Delhi under “Ashtalakshmi Darshan, 2026 Youth Exchange programme being sponsored by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) at Lok Bhawan here today.

Interacting with the youth participants the Governor dwelt on the rich tradition and culture of the eight North Eastern states especially on Assam. The Governor said that India’s strength lies in its youth, whose energy and values can shape future of the nation. The Governor emphasized the importance of national unity, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility among youths. Encouraging the students to actively participate in nation-building, he urged them to adopt the spirit of “Rashtra Bhav” and “Rashtra Sewa”.

 

The Governor highlighted that such exchange programmes plays a pivotal role in promoting cultural understanding and strengthening bonds between different regions of the states. He called upon the youth participants to share their experience with their friends and family members. He termed Assam as “Mini India” for its unique cultural, ethnic,linguistic and religious diversity.

 

The Governor felicitated the youth participants with a Fulam Gamocha and an inspiring book.

 

Earlier two youth participants shared their experience under “Ashtalakshmi Darshan, 2026 Youth Exchange programme with the Governor. It is to be mentioned that IIT,Guwahati hosted“ Ashtalakshmi Darshan, 2026 Youth Exchange programme. During this 14 day programme the participants were provided exposure to the diverse socio-cultural, historical as well as ecological richness of the Northeastern region.
