Siliguri Chapter of EIRC of ICSI Successfully Organises Annual Members’ Conference “Amogh”
Siliguri, Rongili Barta: The Siliguri Chapter of the Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) successfully organised its Annual Members’ Conference in the form of a Full Day Seminar titled “Amogh” at The Cindrella Hotel, Siliguri on Saturday, 7th March 2026.
Shri Dilip Dugar, Hon’ble Chairman, Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering, appreciating the role of Company Secretaries in strengthening corporate governance and promoting responsible professional practices.
The Inaugural Session of the programme was virtually addressed by CS Rupanjana De, Central Council Member of The ICSI, and CS Bishal Harlalka, Chairman, Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of The ICSI, who shared their valuable insights and extended their best wishes for the success of the Seminar.
The Seminar was further enriched by the esteemed presence of CS Sudhir Kumar Banthiya, Former Chairman, EIRC of The ICSI.
CS Saptasikha Jhampati, Chairperson of the Siliguri Chapter of EIRC of The ICSI, delivered the Formal Welcome Address, warmly greeting the distinguished guests, speakers, members, and students while highlighting the significance of knowledge-sharing and professional development through such initiatives.
The first technical session featured CS (Dr.) Mohit Shaw, Former Chairman, EIRC of The ICSI, who delivered an insightful presentation on the topic “Building Regional Unicorns: How SME IPOs Empower Startups in Tier-2 & Tier-3 Cities.” His address highlighted the emerging opportunities for startups in smaller cities and the critical role of SME IPOs in fostering regional economic growth.
The second half of the Seminar featured another enriching technical session by CS Arpan Sengupta, Practising Company Secretary from Kolkata, who spoke on “The Future of Workplace Governance – Integrating the New Labour Codes, Harmonizing Social Security, Workplace Safety and POSH Compliance.” His session provided valuable insights into evolving workplace governance frameworks and compliance challenges.
In a special moment during the programme, participants also celebrated the spirit of International Women’s Day (8th March 2026) by cutting a cake and acknowledging the invaluable contributions of women in the profession and society.
The entire event was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Raghawi Sharma and Ms. Anusmita Roy, dedicated students of The ICSI.
