Governor pays floral tributes to Bir Chilarai
Guwahati,Rongili Barta: Marking the observance of Chilarai Divas, Assam Governor Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya, offered floral tributes to the legendary warrior Bir Chilarai at Lok Bhavan.
Remembering Bir Chilarai’s extraordinary courage and unwavering devotion to his motherland, the Governor said that he remains an enduring symbol of valour, patriotism, and indomitable spirit. He also said that Bir Chilarai’s life and achievements occupy a distinguished place in the annals of history and continue to inspire generations.
Emphasising the relevance of such heroic ideals in contemporary times, the Governor called upon the youth to imbibe the values of bravery, dedication, and love for the nation as exemplified by the great warrior.
On the occasion, officers and staff of Lok Bhavan and CRPF jawans also joined in paying floral tributes, collectively honouring the memory and legacy of Bir Chilarai.
